I was looking at someone else's post about their blog, and I remembered ... I have a blog!! this is a daycare week only, no curriculum activity, and since the rest of our school has a "spring break"...we do not. I am filling some of my nap-time in recording my day.Now that I think about it,it isn't even much of a Spring "Bend".. sigh.
Anyway, it has been peaceful these last two days, I have but 4 children here in my classroom. It is like a small slice of heaven. The quiet has been almost deafening, compared to what I usually deal with when all 9 little bodies fill the chairs around my two tables. Puzzles and Legos CAN be silently played with, in the hands of the correct children... until one decides to jump out of his seat and run around the room with both hands waving wildly, and exclaiming in an overly enthusiastic voice, "How Ya Loo Ya, Pwaise da lowd!!"... he took me by complete surprise until I realized he was just excited over my short statement of "lets pick up toys, it's almost time to go to lunch." this is the same little man who arrived with a grumpy countenance and in reply to my inquiry of "why the sad face?" I was promptly set straight that it was all due to the fact that daddy forgot to bring his breakfast banana.... this lil guy is very attached to his chow.... a small fry after my own heart....;)
